How It Works

There are two components to the MyHardWired™ profiling system.

  • Traits: Represented by 4 colors and describe behaviors and specific points of view.

  • Dimensions: Color traits are represented within the 3 dimensions of Preferred Style, Expectations and Instinctive Needs.

  • When you combine these two components, you get your unique MyHardWired™ view.

Traits

Colors provide a quick reference to describe behaviors and specific points of view.

  • Green likes to keep things ordered and systematic; uses history and facts as a road map in life and is cautious to avoid making mistakes.

  • Yellow focuses on the team or society. Yellow is outgoing and adaptive, and will seek to involve the group or community in decision-making.

  • Red is action oriented. Setting and meeting goals are red qualities. Red seeks out independence and likes to be in charge.

  • Blue is inner-focused, seeking information and understanding. Blue prefers to look at alternatives before making decisions.

Dimensions

MyHardWired™ reports identify three separate dimensions: Preferred Style, Expectations and Instinctive Needs.

  • Your Preferred Style chart identifies what jobs and activities you find most rewarding and challenging.

  • Your Expectations chart, formed early in life, represents your socialized expectations-how you were taught to gain cooperation from others.

  • Your Instinctive Needs chart identifies what you need to feel secure and empowered. The dominant traits of your Instinctive Needs graph illustrate how you learn, what you trust and how you will react under pressure.

What is MyHardWired™?

MyHardWired™ delivers personal development assessments online, using a range of innovative reports and communications tools that specifically address the issues all businesses and business leaders experience.

What does the Personal Report provide?

The MyHardWired™ Personal Report gives insights into what makes people tick, what motivates them, how they deal with stress, how they communicate (speaking or listening) and what jobs and activities they enjoy or find frustrating.

What does the report not provide?

The MyHardWired™ report does not measure character, moral values, intelligence or effectiveness.

Can the Personal Report be used as a hiring tool?

MyHardWired™ is not designed for, or validated as a hiring tool. MyHardWired was specifically designed as a development tool for new and existing employees, managers and leaders.

How long does it take to complete the survey?

The MyHardWired™ survey contains 81 questions and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

When will I receive the results?

Results are available as soon as you complete and unlock the MyHardWired™ survey. The system will automatically set up your own private home page and access to all the online features and updates.

What makes MyHardWired™ different?

Most assessments are static reports that require a trained consultant to interpret. MyHardWired.com is a live site. New tools are being developed and implemented on a regular basis. Industry-first tools are already available. Online audio interpretation of Personal Reports, Summary and the MyHardWired™ Team Composite are examples of some of the world-class tools available that define the actual relational culture of the organization. Comparison Reports can be generated between any two individuals or groups of people. Articles and updates are posted regularly, with email alerts to those whose “wiring” fits the update.
